The history of food as nutrition in TCM goes back to to the Eastern Han Dynasty 25-220AD ago. The ancient practitioners used food such as Chinese dates, ginger, sesame seeds, wolf berries, lotus seeds and others to strengthen body, aid illness and prevent disease.  The food was the first line of defense to fight off cold, illness and disease.   


At Lotus Acupuncture, we honor the wisdom of food being thy medicine and will guide you in eating optimal foods and avoid foods based on your specific diagnosis.   We will customize a nutritional recommendation of foods to integrate and avoid base on your root imbalance and TCM diagnosis.
